We always recommend you check with your homeowner’s insurance first. While we probably have the best-trained crews in the industry, you have to consider the rain and the elements that we have in Jacksonville, Florida. Can I choose any day to load my belongings?

You can choose any day to load your things. However, for the delivery, remember that typically we’re going to need a choice of several days, depending on how far you’re moving.

How can I prepare for my Jacksonville move?

What are my different options for a moving estimate? How can you simplify the process for me?

All of the estimates are no-cost and no-obligation. An example would be a ‘not to exceed’ or a flat rate. We look at your move, your budget, the particulars of your move, and then we present what we think is going to work best for you.

How do you select and hire your employees? Do you use your own people, or do you contract some workout?

The best security in terms of your goods is a well-educated, well-trained driver. We train our drivers intensively through the Suddath University program, which is on-site in Jacksonville. 

As a Jacksonville moving company, we use a combination of our own employees and contractors. The contractors are full-time, 100% dedicated to us. We grow our own, which is the best way to do it, and because of our prominence in the market, training and overall investment in our people, the best come to us. We’re very selective about who we let join our Jacksonville mover’s team.

There’s a vetting process where we’re looking at their driving record, background, the number of years’ experience, safety records, the quality scores, all of those things to determine if they have the right stuff to join the team.

We can help you find the realtor; we can give you the moving estimates that fit your budget, we can give you the packing materials, informational videos and more. We’re a very consultative organization and provide support and visibility to your items every step of the way. We are not a high-pressure sale and, more than anything, we can make sure that our Jacksonville movers have the empathy and experience to work with you in what can be a challenging process.

Can my possessions be temporarily stored in Jacksonville with Suddath? If so, what are the differences between short-term and long-term storage?

We have a state-of-the-art 155,000-square foot facility with probably the best security system in Jacksonville. We have ambient storage, we have climate-controlled storage. We have a variety of options that will allow someone to work within their budget and make sure that if there are any special requirements, we have the logistical ability to handle it. 

The main difference between short and long-term, or permanent, storage is the timeframe in which your household items will be stored. It’s important to remember that for interstate moves, your storage time may cap at 180 days. In either case, your items will be stored in a fully-enclosed vault within a warehouse in Jacksonville. With vault storage, our warehouse staff will pad wrap your valuables and carefully store them in the container.

Do you offer any discard and donation programs for Jacksonville customers?

Move for Hunger is a free service and program in which Suddath takes nonperishable food that you’re not bringing with you on your move and delivers it to local food banks. We also work with HabiJax, and several other charitable organizations so that if there is furniture you want to donate, we can put you in touch, or handle that on your behalf.

What do you do to ensure quality and customer satisfaction?

Customer satisfaction and quality emanate from several key functions. One is properly selecting the people that we think can provide an exceptional experience because of their ability to develop their soft skills. Part of it is our Suddath University training center, because we believe that training should happen at our facility, not inside of your home.

Another part of it is certainly the quality control personnel that are out there in the field who are stopping by to see how things are going, and part of it is our survey and feedback process so that we can take what you’ve shared with us and incorporate it into our training, and address anything if there is a need for that.

What commercial moving services do you offer in Jacksonville, FL?

We are the primary office mover here in Jacksonville. We have many large local businesses who use us exclusively, that’s one part of our business, and on the other hand, we handle operations like medical facilities, smaller office buildings, law firms, and more.

Our Hospitality Logistics team is equipped to help with all phases of your hotel remodel, and even new construction. We offer services such as project management, warehousing and distribution/sequencing, FF&E installation and transportation management.
