JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Jan. 01, 2013) – Suddath Global Logistics LLC, headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, announces the acquisition of Cali America Logistics Inc. Based in Los Angeles with offices in Chicago and New Jersey, the company provides import/export, freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, distribution and fulfillment services.
“This acquisition complements the existing business base that Suddath Global Logistics has in the marketplace by increasing our presence in strategic regions around the world,” said Barry Vaughn, chief executive officer of The Suddath Companies. “It gives us an opportunity to expand our service offerings and strengthen our ability to be even more competitive as we manage the transport of products and assets around the globe.”
Former Cali America owner and president Robert Gordon purchased the company in 2004. Gordon will continue to oversee development of the worldwide agency network in his new role as vice president of global business development for Suddath Global Logistics.
“While Cali America’s focus was primarily on imports from key strategic areas, it will be our objective to utilize our established network and footprint to increase efficiencies for both import and export of products and services,” said Vaughn.
