JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Jan. 11, 2019) – Before National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention month, the furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) team of the Global Logistics division obtained its TAT certification. Suddath® stepped up for eliciting change in an arena where we have experience and can have a large impact as everyday heroes.
As a provider of transportation management services, Global Logistics felt optimally and strategically placed to support a dire cause of striving to end modern-day slavery. Truckers Against Trafficking is an organization that offers classes that train drivers and supporting employees to notice suspicious behavior and empowers them to report it to mobilize in recovering victims.
“We look forward to further training and awareness efforts throughout the overall organization which has such a deep rooted history as a global provider,” stated, Scott Perry, president of Global Logistics and four-year running TAT chairman of the board, “We are fully supportive of TAT’s press conference during Human Trafficking Prevention month and stand alongside the other sponsors who will be unveiling the Everyday Heroes truck at the January 15th event.”
In addition to our FF&E team, spanning our Dallas and Jacksonville branches, being 100% TAT certified, our contract logistics drivers, dispatchers and warehouse dock workers are working towards full compliance as well.
