JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Aug. 31, 2020) – Suddath®, a leading logistics, transportation and relocation company, today announced it has passed its first Quality Management System (QMS) certification services audit to maintain its ISO 9001:2015 certification. Originally registered and certified in 2019, the logistics division at Suddath has again achieved zero non-conformances and no formal observations in this year’s updated surveillance audit.
Due to COVID-19, the third-party audit was fully virtual, with files complied and transmitted digitally. The audit scope included the following:
• Warehousing and distribution
• Repackaging
• End-to-end supply chain management
• Integrated logistics solutions
Suddath has been implementing proactive data driven controls into its operations to ensure safety, business continuity and customer service were not affected by the pandemic. The logistics team presented new workflows and programs during the annual audit to demonstrate the level of risk assessments leveraged for more robust business continuity plans that keep Suddath’s workers safe while not disrupting clients’ supply chain goals.
“This is a huge accomplishment and a very important standard to maintain as an organization,” said Scott Perry, president of Suddath moving and logistics. “With the current state of the world, being able to navigate through this audit with zero non-conformances is amazing.”
Perry also extended thanks to Vice President of Safety and Quality Assurance Trish St. John for her ongoing leadership in this area, enabling Suddath to build a strong environmental, health, safety and quality culture focused on continuous improvement.
