TWO MEN AND A TRUCK franchises continue to live the core value of giving back to the community through fall cause campaigns
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® thrives on giving back to their community. It’s been like that since the very beginning when Founder Mary Ellen Sheets made giving back to the community a top priority, donating the first $1,000 in profit to 10 different local charities.
Our franchises lend a helping hand to their community year-round; during the fall months, many of them run one of our four fall cause campaigns.
Below, you will find more information about each campaign and what it means to our franchises!

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK’s Movers for Meals drive was designed to assist those facing hunger. Franchises who participate in this campaign collect non-perishable food items for a local food pantry or shelter in their community. Franchises work with local businesses, organizations, and schools to gather as many donations as possible to help people in need put food on the table.
This will be the third year the Twin Cities, Minnesota, location is running Movers for Meals. To collect donations, they run a full day event at a grocery store.
“While we are there, we encourage customers to purchase a few extra items off our needs list to go towards the food pantry. We collect close to 2,000 pounds of food each year for our pantry,” said Sally Flinck, the director of marketing and communications.
Flinck adds that she is very passionate about fighting hunger in her community. “No one deserves to go without food, and it feels great to be a part of that mission.”

Franchises who run Movers for Military give back to the brave men and women who served the country. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK locations will often partner with schools, businesses, and organizations to collect essential care items. Once all items are collected and sorted, franchise moving crews deliver them to their local veteran’s shelter.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK San Diego has been running Movers for Military since 2012, and since then they’ve delivered tens of thousands of clothing items and personal care supplies to homeless veterans at Veterans Village of San Diego.
“One of the most rewarding aspects of hosting a Movers for Military campaign is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those who have served our country,” said Gaby Mariduena, the marketing coordinator for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK San Diego. “It's a chance to give back to our veterans and active-duty service members, showing our appreciation for their sacrifices and dedication to our nation.”
Movers for Mutts®- Movers for Mutts® - YouTube
Giving back to our furry friends at the animal shelters is what Movers for Mutts is all about. The program was created to give back to local animal shelters and collect essential care items like food, toys, collars, treats, leashes, and more. These items help the animals in the shelter as they wait to find their forever home. Franchises will partner with local organizations, businesses, and schools to collect items and some even work with the shelters to host adoption events.
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Lansing runs their Movers for Mutts campaign from September to the end of November.
“We have a great partnership with the Capital Area Humane Society, so it’s a great opportunity to be able to serve them,” said Gianni Massaro, the marketing and recruiting coordinator for the Lansing franchise. “Last year, we got a chance to take some of our movers and drivers on a field trip to play with the shelter pets that were up for adoption and that was a ton of fun!”
Truckload of Warmth®- Truckload of Warmth® - YouTube
Providing warm clothes to those in need is what Truckload of Warmth is all about. Locations that run this campaign donate new or gently used winter gear like hats, gloves, jackets, scarves, and more to a local shelter in their area. They partner with local schools, businesses, and organizations to collect as many donations as possible.
The Birmingham, Alabama, location ran Truckload of Warmth for the first time in 2013 and Kelly Atchison, the community outreach and marketing coordinator says their program has evolved over the years but remains a strong cause marketing campaign for their location.
“The best part is that we get to help bring attention to our non-profit partner and awareness of the foster system in Birmingham. It's wonderful to witness the incredible collective effort by the students and their enthusiasm to give back and make a positive change.”
In addition to our branded fall cause campaigns, all TWO MEN AND TRUCK U.S. franchises participate in our annual Movers for Moms® campaign in the spring. TWO MEN AND A TRUCK also works with Cheeriodicals and Convoy of Hope year-round where we donate our resources to help with their missions.
